Completing a work item means exactly that - completing the work. For example:
-
- The task said sweep the floors and you swept the floors
- The work order said replace the AC unit’s air filter and you replaced the air filter
A completed work item remains in the Work Manager until it’s been closed.
Closing a work item means you’ve completed the work and want to remove it from your main view (e.g., it's been signed off on by a manager).
The work item will get moved into a separate “Closed Work Items” section.
It’s not uncommon for users to want to leave their work items “open” even after they’ve been marked “completed” for tracking purposes. (Ex: you created a Bathroom Remodel task group and want to see all related tasks that you complete for tracking purposes. In this case, you maybe wouldn't want to “close” the work items until you completed the whole project.)
Deleting a work item means you’re getting rid of the worl item and all its information from your account.
All its data will become inaccessible once it’s been deleted.
