Our time tracking tool offers two ways to record work hours: manual input and an automatic stopwatch. By tracking task time, you gain insights into your team's resource allocation for maintenance and repairs, laying the groundwork for future capital planning.
Both ways of tracking time are quite straightforward. Here are the step-by-step processes:
- Open the work item
- Click the "Time Tracked" icon in the upper right-hand corner
- Select how you'd like to track the time:
- Timer - use the platform's automatic timer (stopwatch) to track the time in real-time. Just start the timer by clicking "play" stop it by clicking "stop." What's nice is that you don't have worry about keeping the task open in your browser - the timer will continue to run in the background until you hit "stop."
- Manual - manually input the hours/minutes/seconds you spent working on a work item. Just type in the the value(s) and select the date (if you're logging something from the past) from the calendar, followed by "Add Time."
As you add more and more time logs, the time tracker will combine all the logs and update. Pretty neat, right?
